Since the first time I owned a personal computer with a hard disk I have been concerned with the integrity of the data. The Mainframe computers that I have had the opportunity to work on in the past have had terrific backup schemes that were performed every night by a group of very nocturnal individuals.
Insure is an INIT that will remind you of the last time that you backed up your
disks and allow you to launch your favorite backup program. Presently it will
only look in the system folder for the program.
The first time that you use Insure the upper most button will say Backup. After your first launch this will be the Back up program of your choice.
The following commands will help you to use Insure:
Holding the option key down while clicking on the "Program Name" button will use the generic Launch routine. Insure will then remember the program that you chose and use it from then on. You can change again at any time by this procedure.
Holding the option key while clicking on Shutdown will exit to the
Finder
Holding the option key while using either Shutdown or Restart from
the finder (or programs like Disktop) will skip Insure.

The next version will allow you to leave the backup program in any folder
and will also have option to configure how and when Insure will present
its' self.
